How we got through the ’50s

Many happy returns to Tom Lehrer – he celebrates his 83d today. Writing and performing was a much smaller part of his life than his career as a math professor, but we’re all glad for the two decades he spent at the piano.  He also worked at Los Alamos and – incredibly – at the NSA, during which time he claims to have invented the Jello shot.

There’s more here and here. The one below is very nice – but don’t click when it asks, as the quality is definitely not better.
