Workers Unite!

3f05415v12896v3b48851r 3b48918r A very happy Labor Day to all!

Today we celebrate workers – you know, the humans who actually produce the wealth that the rich like to appropriate.

I went to the Library of Congress to get a vintage photo of people laboring, but got totally distracted. The LoC is  promoting their WPA poster collection and I couldn’t tear myself away. Here’s the link – http://www.loc.gov/pictures/search/?sp=1&co=wpapos&st=grid.

I didn’t get through all 932 posters – only about half – but here are some of my favs. Swear I will get some ink for my orinter this week and make a set of  cards for myself.

Because, you know, thanks to Franklin Roosevelt, this is labor the government paid for and so we all own the fruits. What an excellent plan!

Enjoy your day.

  2. The tree is a perfect poster for the ongoing battle in Geauga county to help rescue our park district from the tea Party takeover.
